Hi all,
I hope everyone is a having a great week so far and enjoying the lovely summer weather.  Yesterday marked the first official day of summer and boy was it felt across the states. Taking a peek at the projected forecast, all I want to do is stay under a fan in an air conditioned room and write my short story.

One thing I’ve fallen in love with this summer, well this year actually, is prints and geometric shapes in my clothing. By now I’m sure it it’s difficult to tell usually I keep it pretty neat and clean when it comes to my clothing, maybe it’s due to me embracing a corporate wardrobe, but in my off time my wardrobe is becoming more daring in colour and pattern content.

These pants have been in my possession for about two years – my mommy has a pair as well- and this was the first time I thought to pair a brighter coloured top with them. In the past, it had been a caramel coloured or dark navy top.

I’m still not sure what exactly the cause was, but I totally felt like a kickass 70s superwoman up on the top of the parking deck.
If you haven’t noticed yet these are my favourite sunnies. My friend Tati teases me and calls me a bug, but hey I have light sensitive eyes and they protect part of my face from sun beams too. Yall know I’m all about protecting the skin the multiple ways.
But the most memorable part of this day with hanging with my friends before we hit up Harris Teeter to feed ourselves. Sometimes it’s the smallest moments like making goofy snapchat videos or posing for gifs. The only bright spots in your life shouldn’t be the splash of colour in your closet. Be silly, share some laughs, live in the moment sometimes.

Enjoy the little things peeps.
